U C MAS National Competitions are conducted once a year in many countries around the world.  It is a great event in U C MAS where the students have the opportunity to compete with students from different U C MAS learning centres all over the nation.The best formers in a country will be sponsored to participate in the International Abacus Mental arithmetic competition, Malaysa.The U C MAS competition aims to recognise the excellent achievements of U C MAS students in Mental Arithmetic and to encourage U C MAS students towards reaching higher arithmetic standards.
 

National competitions give a chance for the students to assess their individual capability in Mental arithmetic.  Participants are awared with trophies and certificates for their performance in the competition.  In our competition winning and loosing is common but the practice done for the competition will improve the student's speed and accuracy in arithmetic calculations.  Regular practice will help a child to complete 100 sums in 8 minutes with accuracy.

U C MAS UK has so far conducted 5 successful National competitions with honourable guests and VIP's. Every year there is a constant growth in the participants as well as their performance in arithmetic. In the 5th National competition we feel immensely pleased and honoured for having Dr. Dino Wong, founder & president U C MAS education Group Malaysia being present for the occasion.

Competitions are conducted to improve and develop skills. Olympics are conducted once in every four years, where there are various athleticss and games. in every Olympic the contestants target to break previous records. The time taken by an athlete in a 100-meter race will be much less than an athlete who ran 12 years ago. Therefore the skill of running, gains more strength in Olympic year after year. In the same way U C MAS Competitions are conducted every year to develop the quality and strength of mental arithmetic calculation in kids. In the 1st U C MAS UK National competition-2005, students completed 50 sums in 8 minutes, but today they finish 100 sums in 8 minutes with accuracy. In the following years this record will be broken. Our Competitions help every participant not only to improve their mental arithmetic skill but also gives them self-confidence in this competitive world.
